Planning a wedding is stressful enough without worrying about what the groom and groomsmen are going to wear. Here’s a simple timeline to keep the formal wear side of things stress-free.

6-9 Months Before: Browse and Decide
Start exploring styles early. This is when you should:
- Decide on the overall look — classic, modern, rustic, or black tie
- Choose your color palette (this affects everything)
- Visit Diamond Formal Wear to try on different styles and find what fits your vision
- Use our our tuxedo collection online tool to explore options from home
4-6 Months Before: Lock It In
Once you’ve picked your style:
- Reserve your tuxedos or suits
- Get your groomsmen’s measurements (we can do this in-store or provide measurement cards for out-of-town guys)
- Finalize accessories — vests, ties, pocket squares, shoes

2-3 Weeks Before: Pick Up and Try On
Your tuxedos will be ready for pickup about two weeks before the wedding. We strongly recommend:
- Everyone tries on their complete outfit in-store
- We handle any last-minute adjustments on the spot
- Check shoes for comfort — break them in before the big day
Day After the Wedding: Return
Just bring everything back in the garment bag by the next business day. Don’t worry about cleaning or pressing — we handle all of that.
Pro Tips from 20+ Years in the Business
- Don’t wait until the last minute. The most popular styles book up, especially during peak wedding season (May-October)
- The groom should stand out. Consider a different lapel style, tie, or vest color to differentiate from the groomsmen
- Fathers matter too. Don’t forget to include the father of the bride and groom in your order
- Comfort is key. You’ll be wearing this for 8+ hours. Make sure it fits right
